PET Tours
Make your reservation!  Come and join us for a tour of the Northern California PET Imaging Center and learn more about the benefits of PET scans.  PET (Positron Emission Tomography) is a metabolic imaging study that provides information influencing both clinical staging and medical management in patients with breast cancer.  This noninvasive test is a whole body scan detecting local and distant disease.  For more information about PET visit www.ncpic.org or call 888-738-3211.  Please email me at cplove@sbcglobal.net to reserve your tour.  Personal and group tours are also available.

October 14, 2007 "Blues For Life"
Mark the date on your calendar and dust off those boogie shoes for an all-star line-up at the Torch Club, Sacramento's premier blues nightclub.  Expect a variety of excellent entertainment and a lot of fun.  There will be a $15 cover charge and BBQ available.  The event is from 2-8 p.m.  Don't miss it!

I Sold It!
It's easy, it's fun and best of all it takes very little time.  Just gather up your unwanted, sellable items, drop them off at iSold It and they will sell them on eBay.  Your seller's proceeds will be donated to Albie Aware in your name.  Donated items should have a value of $50 or more, should be clean and in working condition...that's it!  Drop off your items, watch them sell and know that you've helped in the fight against breast cancer.  Please call iSold It with any questions or just stop in at:  iSold It (on EBay) located at 2644 Marconi Ave. (at Fulton, across from Trader Joe's) Sacramento, CA 95821, 916-570-2200.  Store Hours are Mon-Sat 10-7 and Sun 12-5.

Website Gets A New Look!
Albie Aware has contracted with Net Pilot to update our website.  In the future you will see big changes as www.albieaware.org gets updated and reorganized.

Geo-caching
Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for gps users. Individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Raymond Cooper, an Albie Aware supporter and my son-in-law, together with fellow geo-cachers are dropping off "Albie Aware" pins with our website address at various sites throughout Northern California.  Creative ideas about how to spread Albie Aware's message are welcome.  Thank you Raymond for all your effort, and a great idea.

As always, thank you!
Our supporters and constituents are the best.  Special thanks to the Sacramento Jaycee's in supporting our walk this year and tirelessly assembling all those walk packets.  The Chrome Divas for your hard work on Albie Cruisin 21.  The Torch Club for choosing Albie Aware as the beneficiary of their October event.  Northridge Country Club for creating a cookbook and the "celebrity Golf Challenge."  Mary Kay Love for bringing Xerox on board.  Nor Cal Beverage, the Cruisin 21 sponsors, Walk sponsors, and Nolan's Hilltop Tavern.  On behalf of the Board of Directors and those we serve, thanks for making this foundation possible.  Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Yours truly,

Cindy Love
